Kids Judge Books by their Covers #6 Trainspotting

Irvine Welsh’s scaborous cult classic should be in every nursery. It’s never too early to get kids into skag I say, and what better way than following the madcap antics of Renton, Begbie, Sick Boy and Co. Here’s my kids first experience.

C. This is about two people having masks on, pretenting to be skeletons. The town think they’re real skeletons and they scare people.

The book is called Trainspotting

G. That gives me an idea. They’re on the train and putting these masks on and they’re trying to scare people into getting off the train, so they’re the only people on the train and get the train to themselves.

Which could easily have been a scene from the book itself. Well done children.

Here’s what Irvine Welsh had to say when he saw it.

Excitement!
